Cider of the week - Pilton 'Solstice' Cider

In honour of it being the week of Glastonbury, it seemed fitting to choose this cider as our ‘Cider of the Week’. Pilton are artisan producers at the heart of Somerset’s cider-land making whole juice sparkling cider by the old English method of keeving.

Apples are collected from traditional cider orchards in and around the parish of Pilton and slowly fermented for six months in their cool Victorian cellar before bottling.

If you are out this weekend, and find yourself in need of something long, cool, crisp and refreshing, you may be tempted to follow the crowds and seek inspiration from the Eastern side of Europe in going for an Ice cold Pilsner.
